The redfish have been there one day and gone the next. We are seeing a lot of them, but some days they don't want to eat. On those days, I have pulled the boat out and gone up North. I had a few days where we got all our reds and then all our drum up there. The croaker are still a little small, but they should be ready for use soon. We have had a few big trout while fishing for reds and I think it is only a sign of things to come. |

March has been a good month this year. We have been getting good boxes of redfish in the Aransas Bay complex. Cut bait has been working best. The drum are still up North if the weather allows us to fish it. I have had a few trips for the bull drum in Ingleside and it has been EASY! The drum showed up late, but when they did, it was on! The highlights of the month were a redfish trip with 42 reds on the low, low tide and a 52 inch drum on 15 lb. test. This year is already much better than last year and it is only getting better. |

Afternoon fishing has been the ticket. I haven't been leaving the dock until 11:00 or so to give the water time to warm up. The water is still low and cold. There are some bigs schools of reds down South if you can get them to eat. If the sun is out, they have been feeding in the late afternoon. The drum up North are still pretty steady. The water is just starting to warm up and it is coming back in as well. March should go off! All the fresh water combined with the rising water temps should make for some excellent redfish fishing. Everything is fixing to change in our bay systems and it looks to be great! |

More rain and some bitter cold temps have kept me off the water again. The few days I got out, the drum have been EASY to find. I fished 3 days and had all of our drum everyday in a few hours. We had a few reds mixed in, but they are still very sluggish with the low water temps. |

There hasn't been a lot going on this month. The drum are still stacked up in St. Charles and the usual low water spots for reds are producing. It has been cold and wet almost all month. The weather has kept us in for the most part. All the rain should really help the trout bite this year. |

November is a great time to fish here and this year is proving it again. I had a record day this month with over 150 keeper fish in 4 1/2 hours. I actually ruptured a tendon in my hand from handling so many fish. We constantly had double and triples on for hours. And this was not a 1 time occurance. It happened a few different times this month. The sheepshead have been somewhat of a hassel, but the reds and drum are in with them. I have had limits for 4 people of all 3 species a lot this month. It has been non-stop action. There is less traffic on the water and the weather is cooler. If you get a chance to fish in November, you should..... it is worth it! |
