More rain! We seem to go from a servere drought to servere flooding. This year has been the flood year. All of the fresh water has pushed me out of my favorite areas. It has also been the reason behind a few tough days. Everything South of the JFK causeway is brackish- almost fresh water. I had 3 days of heavy rain and all 3 days my clients wanted to fish anyways. We limited on reds each day. Don't ever let people tell you that you can't catch fish in the rain! The upside of it all is that that reds have gathered up in a few areas and they are thick! Limits are expected and pretty easy to get. I had a few trips up to Port O' Connor for the bull reds and it was crazy. We caught reds over 40 until we were too tired to catch anymore. I also had the worst day of the year down in Corpus after the flood. Needless to say, this month was up and down. Now that I have found the reds after the rain, I expect them to stick around for a while.
