Rain and more rain! That's been the story here lately. We had to cancel the first 5 days of the month due to weather. As soon as it dried up, we started hammering them. I have had many days where we caught our limits of trout by 9:00 or 10:00. This gave us more time to try to find the reds and we did! My best day this month was 30 trout and 9 reds by 11:00 am. Our average trout numbers have been in the mid 20's with a few reds thrown in. I think the lack of pressure due to rain has allowed the fish to bunch up. Deeper water has been the ticket. Our water temps are pretty warm, but the fish are still around. It may be hot outside, but the fishing is even hotter!
