5-24-08 Limits of Reds and Some FAT Trout |

Today I had Dale Groll and his wife Janie. They are old family friends from Kerrville and they made my job REALLY easy today. These 2 are great fisher people and that can make all the difference in a day. Our first anchor was for trout, but it only turned up 3 skipjacks and a small trout. I took this as a sign that we should go redfishing. It took us 3 or 4 anchors to get all of our fish, but we did get some really nice reds. Dale released the smaller (barely legal) fish waiting for the big daddy and it paid off. His last red was a fat 26 inch fish. With our limit of reds in the box, we ran around looking for trout. It was slow, but we managed 8 trout and 6 reds for the day. I really enjoyed their company today and I can't say enough good things about these 2 people. Thanks for the great trip today ya'll!!!
