5-12-08 "Call Me When the Trout Turn On" |

I have been talking with John Spencer from Houston about catching some nice trout for about 2 weeks and I figured it was about time to make the call. He and Charles Schmidt made the drive down on short notice and it was well worth it. Today we left at about 3:00 and only had a few hours to fish. We went to Mud and caught 11 nice trout before sunset. I am fishing with these same guys in the morning and I think we can clean up pretty quick. It is really cool to see someone so interested in all the different aspects of fishing. John has been in steady contact with me and he has shown some real interst that a lot of people don't have. I know they enjoyed this evening and they are looking forward to tomorrow.
